Chapter 3: Time for an adventure (Down the street ) Luffy had used his arms to steer the rowboat towards the direction of the ship. turning left, right or forward at every turn by grabbing the building’s that came at curtain turns to stay on course to the ship. It was kind of like having a car without any wheels or brakes that you have to move by yourself. They were going down so fast that luffy's call fav started to stretch further behind him almost like a parachute. Luffy was laughing historically as they made their way towards the lower levels of the city. He was having the time of his life moving through the city in a rowboat. Zoro wasn’t having too bad of a time either of anything, if anything he was smiling a little as well just not for the same reason as Luffy. He was smirking because every time they passed a marine he got to slice them as the flea by. He figured if he was just gonna sit there he’d help clear the path, nothing too bad. To him it was like catching flies but the flies are soldiers. “WERE ALMOST THERE!!!!”, Luffy said loudly, seeing the harbor coming into view. Zoro Rose his fist in victory before turning his head to see smoker, coming up right behind them. His eyes went wide as he realized that smoker was about to attack Luffy with his Nanashaku Jitte. He was itching closer with each moment and wasn’t showing any signs of letting up Zoro knew he had to do something before he caught up to them. Just before he was about to connect with luffy's head Zoro stepped in front of him and blocked the attack meant to hit his captain. Smoker grunted in frustration as he was now in a sword fight with one of the pirate captain's second in command, on a tiny rowboat no less. “ What’s going on?”Luffy asked, turning his head. Zoro stopped him and pushed his head forward,” nothing you need to worry about just focus on getting us to that harbor”, he said, trying to keep his captain's priorities straight. Smoker chimed in,”There’s no way in hell you're getting to that damn harbor,” he said, applying a bit more pressure to his attack,”I’ll see to that myself”. Zoro turned his attention back to Smoker,”. Oh yeah, just try and stop us”. Well, the two of them were going at it ,Luffy had noticed that some of the marine soldiers started to block off the pass to the harbor. Seeing this, decided that he needed to take another route in order to get to the harbor, but almost every turn he made there were soldiers that had blocked the path causing him to continuously change paths. This made luffy start to worry, seeing all of the possible exit for them, or being closed off. And it didn’t help that Zoro and smoker were duking it out in the back of the rowboat. If he didn’t think of something else quickly, it would only be a matter of time before they call a buster call on them, and then they would be trapped in the city. Luffy spun his head around, looking for any sort of way to get out of this situation into the harbor. He soon stood a block or two in front of them was a ramp that came all the way to the harbor. This gave Luffy a brilliant idea, causing him to turn the Boat in the dot of the ramp. He turned to Zoro(who was still trying to fight off smoker) and grabbed him by the back of his collar. “HANG ON TIGHT ZORO”!!!!!He said out loud with determination. This caught smokers' attention, causing him to look past Luffy and see the giant ramp coming up ahead of them. He stopped trying to attack them and jumped off the first chance he was given.(In his Mind)” guess I’ll have to cut them off at the harbor”, he said flying down to the docks. Zoro turned around to see just what Luffy was up to. That’s when he saw that they were heading right for a ramp that was only a few feet away from where they were heading. His eyes went wide,”NO NOT AG AAAAAAAAAAA IIIIIIIIIIII NNNNNNNN”!!!!!’, he hollered as their boat flew off of the ramp. For the first few moments The boat glided across the air like a parachute falling from the sky. Luffy spent those moments laughing himself half to death because of the fun he was having. Zoro on the other hand had been screaming his lungs out in a panicked state as he saw this as no less than a terrifying experience. It was only after those moments were over that the boat began to descend. Once this began, Luffy grabbed Zoro and off the rowboat just in time before it crashed into the ground. “GUM GUM UFO”!!!!!!!,Luffy screamed as he quickly twists back his legs midair, and lets them go, causing them to spin around and around horizontally allowing him to hover off the ground. Zoro was hanging tightly to Luffy's arm trying his very best not to let go and fall to his death. Using this technique gave luffy the time and ability to look over the whole city in hopes to find their ship’s location. Lucky for him he saw it clear as day right where they had left it. Unlucky for him was the fact that almost all of the nave soldiers were heading right towards the ship as well. It would only be a matter of time before they reach the ship. It was now or never, Luffy dove right into the direction of the ship as fast as he could, almost breaking the sound barrier. At this point Zoro had been screaming his lungs out from falling from such a high altitude. They were so high that pedestrians looking up at the sky thought it was a giant bird falling towards the city. He had been going so fast that he had to keep a tight hold on his hat so that it wouldn’t fly away. With the ground only a few meters away and showing no signs of slowing down, Luffy decides to stop this fun little ride. “NOW GUM GUM BALLOON!!!!!”,Luffy blew himself up in the shape of a ball in order to soften the landing. they crashed into the ground, bouncing up and down till they crashed into a meat stand. The landing completely destroyed the stand and splattered huge chunks of meat all over the other stands, making a much bigger mass than luffy had Luffy had gotten up from where he had landed and looked around just to see if he could find Zoro and look for the ship, just to see in his eyes, one of the greatest treasures in his world, “MEAT”!!!!. He almost instantly started chowing down on the piles of meat around him, almost like a vacuum cleaner cleaning up filth off of the floor. Zoro(who had already gotten up and started cleaning off the chunks of meat from his close) looked over to see his captain inhaling piles of meat from the stand.”You always know how to make a scene don’t you”, he said chuckling as he finished brushing the meat off his clothes and started looking around. He then noticed that the navy soldiers were making their way to the harbor a lot faster than he originally thought. He turned to luffy,”captain now's not the time to be stuffing your face, we gotta move“ Luffy looked at him with disappointment,”Just a few more pieces!”He said, his mouth full of food. Zoro however wasn’t having it and grabbed luffy by the back of his collar,”you can eat plenty later let’s go”, he said trying to get his captain away from the food. Luffy continuously stuffed chunks of meat into his mouth while being pulled away. Luckily for them the food market was right next to the boarding dock so they didn’t need to go far. After a couple of left and rights they were finally able to find the one and only Thousand Sunny Luffy cheered in victory as the ship was right where he'd left it. Soon they’d be home free from this mess. They made their way through the docks as they were almost to the ship. But right before they were in front of the ship Tashigi had appeared in front of the two pirates. “I told you”, she said confidently as she drew her sword,”you’re not going anywhere”. Zoro slapped his hand on his head in annoyance,”Four eyes I’ve told you already, we don’t have time for you right now.” The comment infuriated her but she quickly snapped back together, knowing that she had an objective. Luffy had gone to throw a punch to hit her but suddenly a cloud of Smoke appeared in front of Tashigi and grabbed his wrist.It was Smoker who suddenly appeared in front of them. He pulled Luffy's hand and threw him into a pile of netted crabs. Luffy hollered in pain as the crabs started snapping at his body. He jumped up and started spinning around to throw the crabs off of him. Smoker took this opportunity and charged straight for Luffy ready to attack him. Luffy had managed to throw off all of the crabs in time to dodge the attack. He looked at Zoro with a serious face. “GET TO THE SHIP ZORO I'LL HANDLE THIS ”!!!!, he yelled to Zoro, trying to at least get it to set sail. He soon went back to going up against smoker in order to buy time. Zoro nodded his head in response and ran over toward the ship but was cut off by Tashigi who had tried to strike him with her sword. He blocked it rather easily and tried fighting her off so he could get to the ship. He was much stronger and more skilled than she was so he was able to maneuver around her without any real difficulty. Her fighting style was good and had this been a normal opponent she would have won without a doubt. But Zoro had gone up against a lot more powerful opponents than her and he got far better because of this. She was trying her best to aim at all his weak points but Zoro had already seen this coming and was either blocking her attacks or was dodging them to save some time . She tried to slice him across the stomach just for him to block it with the side of his sword. When that didn’t work she went for his neck, only for him to duck underneath the blade. Due to all of the constant misses and attacks that weren’t working Tashigi had to lose focus. She had gotten so reckless that when just charged at him and went for his head he used this opportunity to dodge her attack and disarm her. He threw her sword far to the side and when she went to retrieve it he moved to her left side and held her up by blade point. “You finished”?, he asked her just about fed up with the cat and mouse chase,”cause like I said before,we’re in a bit of a hurry to get the hell outta here so…….”. She gave him a smug look,”of course not”, she said calmly,” I’ll either capture you here and now or I’ll track you down and capture you later”. Zoro grinned wildly,”Yeah I think I’ll take the other option and come back for the second date later”, he said as he tapped the tip of his sword on one of the wooden planks creating a human sized hole(one that he had more than enough time to create during their fight), causing it to cave-in. This caused Tashigi to fall right into the water. Zoro chuckled and said,”bon voyage four eyes”, as he made his way onto the ship. She looked up at him from the water, her eyes fiery,”I SWEAR I'LL GET YOU FOR THIS RORONOA”!!!!!!! Well, this was happening. Luffy was trying to get smoker off of his back, but unfortunately, for him, the admiral wasn’t making that easy. Smoker continuously tried to hit him with his Nanashaku Jitte in hopes of eMobilizing him. Luffy had been using the light poles to avoid his attacks, giggling loudly as they failed to touch him. It was like a fun game of tag to him, a game he knew for a fact that he’d win. He finally stopped and landed himself on the dock floor right across from his ship. Smoker was the only obstacle in his way of the sunny. Luffy looked at him, a goofy smile on his face,”Come on Smokey can’t you let me off this one time”, he joyfully pleaded trying to reason with the admiral,”For old time sake”. Smoker glared at him,”Not this time Straw hat”, he said standing his ground,”You crossed a line today and if you think that I’m gonna be your pal and let you go and cause more of your crazy shit, You got another thing coming”. This made Luffy giggle loudly,”Come on Smokey, we both know you can’t catch me”. Smoker responded with an irritated look on his face,” this times gonna to be different, this time you will surrender to the world government, and Speer, the world of your crazy and insane shenanigans.” Luffy looked behind the admiral to see that his second in command had successfully gotten the ship started up and moving out of the docs. Zoro ushered Luffy with a wave that it was time to go, and that he needed to get on the ship. He gave him a nod, and turned his attention back to smoker,” well if that’s how it is…….,” he said, getting into a position to use what looked like one of his favorite attacks. Smoker braised himself, holding his Nanashaku Jitte tightly, ready to attack. A moment or two of silence went by before Luffy decided to make his move. “NOW GUM GUM……”, he started pronouncing his next move. Smoker stood in the defensive stance, readying his Jitte to attack Straw-hat for when he was going to attack him.. But luffy wasn’t trying to attack, he instead reached his arm out behind smoker and grabbed one of the light poles. “Rocket!!!!!!!!!!”, he screamed as he used the pole to launch himself out of the docs, and straight to the ship. Smoker turned around and looked in shock as he saw that his prime target was once again getting away. Luffy laughed loudly as he was practically flying across the water straight toward his ship. Zoro saw that Luffy was coming right his way at a fast pace, so he simply step to the side, out of luffy's way, allowing him to crash into one of the ships walls. He instantly jumped up from the debris, and started laughing, allowed as he walked over to the side of the ship facing smoker,” hey smoker good seeing you again catch you later”, he said right before he made his way up to the manual controls and press the certain button that boosted the ship out of the harbor, and into the sea, finally, leaving water seven. Smoker was just left there in complete and utter shock from what had just occurred in front of him. Just like that the young yonko was gone and out of his clutches only leaving. All he could see now was the water trail that was left behind by the fastly moving ship? Hey, he immediately started grunting and screaming in frustration as he had just let one of his most aggravating targets escape yet again. After a moment or two, he had calm down, and was just staring out at the Pacific just to see not a trace left of the pirate ship. Tashigi(who has soon pulled herself out of the water and was completely soaked) walked right next to him,” you know after a while you have to start to wonder does he plan all this out or does he just make this up as he goes along”?,she asked in frustration and with a bit of curiosity, while trying to drive herself off. He didn’t even bother to fully acknowledge what she had just say stared out at the sea, and said,” it doesn’t matter I’m going to get that pirate if it’s the last thing I do”. (On The Sunny) The two pirates had made their way to the kitchen to celebrate their achievement with something to eat. Luffy was laughing himself Half to death while a piece of meat, as he and his crew mate had successfully escaped the world government clutches once again. He was practically rolling around the kitchen floor in glee. “did you see the look on smoky’s face when I grabbed onto the ship, it was hilarious”, he said, proudly. “Luffy I’m telling you nothing was more hilarious then seeing you punch another celestial dragon through a wall”, his friend responded happily,” the looks of all those snobby idiots faces was something to die for. “and you thought I didn’t know what I was doing”,luffy said with a sly smile on his face. Zoro had quickly gone and grabbed himself a nice cold beer out of the fridge to celebrate. Zoro then turned around,” oh I 1000% know you didn’t know what you were doing”, he paused for a minute, not wanting to make his captain feel undervalued,” but you at least got us out of there unscathed”. He close the fridge door just to see a photo of the entire Strawhat crew. He picked up the photo to reminisce about all the adventures they had had over the years. With all that each of them had gone through and how much time they all spent bonding over those hard times made them stronger than ever They had grown a large family with every new crew mate that came on the ship and had a tight bind to one another. In some way he missed them dearly. He turned to Luffy, who was still laughing at the small victory he had achieved. “You know Captain”, he started trying to get Luffy's attention. This succeeded, as Luffy had almost instantly stopped laughing, and looked up at his friend to hear what he had to say. “it’s too bad everyone else decided after everything that happened in Wano they wanted to take a little vacation to each of them selves, we all could’ve had a good laugh, but they missed all the fun we had kicking the navy’s asses. Luffy hearing this look down at the floor, with a frown on his face,”yeah”, but then he suddenly brightened up,” what at least it’s only for a couple of weeks and you at least wanted to stay out on the ship”. Zoro looked back at him with a blank expression on his face,” yeah, that was mainly so that one of us could keep an eye on you and make sure you didn’t do anything too stupid and sense I lost the straw drawing challenge here I am”, he then took a sip of his beer, “that and I don’t trust you much with the ship at all”. The young pirate captain look back at his friend with offense,” hey I could’ve taken care of the ship while everyone was gone”, he said in his defense. Zoro had taken a couple more sips of his beer before he decided to respond with,”Luffy if I had left you alone with this ship, it would either be in flames”, he said pointing one finger up before inching a tiny bit closer,” or the Navy would’ve completely surrounded it because you brought too much attention to yourself”. Luffy, taking even more offense from this, simply folded his arms and twisted his body backwards. Zoro chuckled at this and continue to drink his beer until a quick, somewhat worrying thought came to his mind. “Speaking of the Navy”, he started trying to talk in a serious tone. Luffy turned his head in response. “We’re gonna need to find a place to hide out for a couple of days”, he continued putting his beer down and looking at Luffy with a serious look on his face. Luffy tilted his head to the side and looked back at Zoro in confusion,”Why would we need to do that”, he asked, trying to figure out what his friend was saying. Zoro caught this and to be as blunt as possible with his incompetent captain. “We’ll no full on offense but breaking into a maximum security jail for the second time along with a courthouse, destroying multiple properties around the city”,he paused putting his finger to his chin and looking up at the ceiling,”am I forgetting something, oh yes punching one of the 5 most powerful authorities in the world through a wall won’t exactly get us on the Navy’s nice list. Luffy looked at him with a blank face still not fully understanding what he was talking about. Zoro sighed noticing that his friend still was getting the point,”Look what I’m saying is that even though we’re a yonko crew now it doesn’t mean that the military still isn’t a threat to us”,he reminded luffy, trying to make this as clear as possible,”especially without the rest of the crew and the last thing we need right now is to get involved in another war. Luffy was able to figure out what he was talking about. He was talking about the war on wano no two weeks ago that they barely won by the skin of their teeth. The battle had taken a lot more out for them than they were prepared for and they were still recovering from it Even though he wasn’t scared to get into a fight with anyone who messed with his crew. He knew better than anyone that he wasn’t in any condition to get into a serious fight with a real strong opponent, at least not right now any. Zoro saw the disappointment on Luffys face, as much as he admired his captains will, he also cares for his captains wellbeing, and letting him purposely endanger his life whenever something bad happens wouldn’t exactly be a very smart thing. He stepped forward and put his hand on his captain's shoulder in order to reassure him,” look I’m only saying that we should hold off on fighting big opponents until we’re fully recovered and when we regroup with the rest of the crew”. This cheered the young pirate, a tiny bit, but part of him is still bummed out by running away. Zoro then put his hand on his head,” that being said there’s still the problem with finding a place to hide out”, he said, trying to snap the conversation back to something important. That bummed Luffy out again not wanting to talk about boring stuff. After a moment or two of thinking before he came up with the perfect idea,” Hey, I got it”, he suddenly said, almost surprising his friend. Zoro looked at him with curiosity, wondering what he was talking about. Luffy looked at him with a big smile on His face, “why don’t we go to my hometown, Foosha Village. I haven't been there in a while, he suggested being confident that it was the perfect idea. This idea caused Zoro to pause and think for a minute, (in his mind)“The Goa Kingdom”, he thought for a moment, then turned to his captain,” I don’t know Luffy why there”, he asked him curiously. “Well, think about it the east blue is the most unprotected by the Navy, especially my hometown”, he said convincingly. It did sound like a good idea and a small quiet town will be home to a lot of authority so they’d be able to move about however they pleased. though Zoro still had some doubts about the idea. “ I dunno Luffy, it's a two day trip, and you haven’t been there in a while. You sure they won’t rat you out”,Zoro asked in concern. Luffy responded back by padding his buddy on the back,”of course they won’t,I’m practically family to them”, he said, confidently,” and other pirates go there all the time for a drink, so will be fine”. Zoro still looked like he had some doubts, he turned to Luffy,”and a hundred percent sure, that will be OK there”. Luffy grabbed both of Zoro's shoulders,” come on buddy don’t you trust me”, The vice captain looked at him once again blankly,” absolutely not”. There was a moment or two of silence between the two of them before they both had broken out into laughter After a few seconds of this, the two of them looked at each other, and Luffy extended his arm,” take everything you can”, he started. Zoro grinned at him,” give nothing back”, he finished grabbing his captain's hand. The two of them laughed as they made their way up to the ships turning wheel. Lucy grabbed a hold of it excitedly,”ALRIGHT, NEXT STOP FOOSH VILLAGE”, he declared excitedly. He pressed the side button on the turning wheel in the ship and zoomed straight to the east. The two pirates were ready to start the next adventure, but they had no idea what was in store for them. End of chapter New chapter coming soon
